Obituary of Buster Samuel Kinslow

Born Buster Samuel Kinslow 9/10/1923 to Joseph Kinslow and Lydia Armor-Kinslow in Oriental North Carolina. The family moved to Norfolk Virginia where Buster was raised. Buster was inducted into the United States Army on July 7, 1944. He left the Army on January 14, 1946 and was inducted into the United States Air Force on January 15, 1946. He retired July 31, 1965 as a Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the following Medals. Good conduct medal with on silver loop, Asiatic-Pacific campaign medal, World War II victory medal, Army of occupation Medal (Japan), National Defense service medal, Korean Service medal with two bronze service stars, Air Force longevity service award with four bronze oak leaf clusters and the United Nations service medal. After leaving the Air Force he became employed by Goodyear tire and Rubber Company in 1965 as a tire inspector. He retired from Goodyear in 1979. For 91 years he gave unselfishly to all that he called family and friends. He was well loved and respected. His knowledge of life exceeded any book you could read. He was straightforward and honest. Loving husband, father, uncle and friend. On June 8, 2015 he was called home and was met by His parents Joseph and Lydia Kinslow, his brother Benjamin Kinslow, 3 wives, his stepdaughter Judy Helm, stepson Harold Grubbs, sons Johnny Kinslow and Gary Kinslow. He leaves behind to carry on his legacy, stepchildren: Terry Hall and Stewart Grubbs, children: Ganice Kinslow, Gianna Ha-Sidi, Glenn Kinslow and Joseph Kinslow. Son-in-laws Steve Young, and Ali Ha-Sidi, He also leaves behind grandchildren, Gary Jr., Rashada, Richard, Michael, Myisha, Stephanie, Kimberly, Jennifer, Jason, April, Ashley, Jessica, Asia, Johnny, Reign, and Joseph Jr. along with a host of great grandchildren.
