Vernis York. 92, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Sutter General Hospital following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Frances (LoForte); York is survived by daughter Yvonne, sons John and Tony (Kelly) and 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born and raised in Perry, Florida, the son of Jabe and Dolly York, Vern settled in Sacramento where he became a lifelong resident
