Fredonia W. Archie, the third of four children, was born in Marvell, Arkansas, to Martin Wilborn and Birdie Lee Wilborn, Fredonia grew up on her parents' farm and she said, "I did not like farm work and I was glad to get away from it. However, I'm glad I had the experience of living on a farm" In 1951, after her mother passed, her sister Evelyn moved the family to Sacramento, CA. Fredonia went on to graduate from Sacramento High School. Fredonia's Christian walk began at an early age at Mt. Marriah Baptist Church in Marvell, Arkansas. She opened her heart and home for special occasions such as Graduation Parties, Baby Showers, Wedding Parties, Baby Sitting, you name it she would do it., and by the way, when she had something at her home, it was first class! That just how she rolled. Fredonia was united in Holy Matrimony to Richard Archie on January 16, 1953 in Sacramento, Ca. To this union was born two sons and one daughter: Thaddous Lavone, Eric Lee, and Arna Lena. This beautiful husband and wife were married for 53 years until the Homegoing of Richard in 2006.
