Obituary of Alfredo Jose Melendez

Alfredo Jose Melendez was born on May 17, 1926 in Cojutepeque, El Salvador C.A., and died February 8, 2020 in Sacramento, Ca. He entered into marriage with Amalia Rosa Castellón on June 17, 1946. They had been married for 73 years. In November of 1952, he moved to San Francisco to find a better life for his family. In 1958 he began his bible studies with Jehovah Witnesses and was baptized in March 1959. He helped establish the first congregation in San Francisco, Ca. He served as congregation ministerial servant and later as elder. In June 1976 he moved to Sacramento, Ca and continued to serve as an elder until his last assignment in the Meadowview Spanish congregation and continued to serve faithfully until the end of his life. Alfredo loved his family very much and enjoyed his favorite football sport. He always included young people and new students, he retired from playing at age 75. Above all, his favorite passion was to share the good news of his Creator Jehovah. Service and meetings were the main thing in his life. We will miss him, but always the hope of resurrection in Paradise here on earth kept him focused. Alfredo was loved and loved by many and there is no doubt he will be missed. The survivors of his family, his wife, Amalia Rosa Meléndez, his children, Elsa Delgado, Rosa Perez, Rebecca Miranda, Milton Melendez, Alfredo Melendez,Sonia Munoz, in addition to 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment” - John 5:28,29 --- Alfredo Jose Melendez nació el día 17 de Mayo 1926 en Cojutepeque El Salvador, y falleció 8 de Febrero 2020 en Sacramento,Ca. Entro en matrimonio con Amalia Rosa Castellón el 17 de Junio 1946. Llevaban 73 años de casados .En noviembre del año 1952, se mudó para San Francisco para hallar una vida mejor para su familia .En 1958 empezó sus estudios de la biblia con los testigos de Jehová y se bautizó en Marzo de 1959. Ayudó a establecer la primera congregación en San Francisco,Ca. Sirvió como Siervo de congregación y después como Anciano. En Junio de 1976 se mudó a Sacramento,Ca y continuó sirviendo como anciano hasta su última asignación en la congregación Meadowview Spanish y continuo sirviendo fielmente hasta el fin de su vida. Alfredo amaba muchísimo a su familia y gozaban de su deporte favorito del fútbol. Siempre incluía a los jóvenes y a los nuevos estudiantes, se jubiló de jugar a los 75 años de edad. Sobre todo su pasión favorita era de compartí las buenas nuevas de su Creador Jehova. El servició y las reuniones era lo primordial en su vida. Lo hecharemos de menos, pero siempre la esperanza de la resurrección en el Paraíso aquí en la tierra lo mantenía enfocado. Alfredo fue querida y amado por muchos y no hay duda mis hará falta. Los sobrevivientes de su familia, Su esposa, Amalia Rosa Meléndez, sus hijos , Elsa Delgado, Rosa Perez, Rebecca Miranda, Milton Melendez, Alfredo Melendez, Sonia Munoz, ademas de 18 nietos, 13 bisnietos, y un tataranieto. No se asombren de esto, porque viene la hora en que todos los que están en las tumbas* oirán su voz y saldrán: los que hayan hecho cosas buenas, para una resurrección de vida, y los que hayan hecho cosas malas, para una resurrección de juicio. - Juan 5:28,29
