Obituary of Helen M Lester

Helen Marie Lester, 100, entered into rest Tuesday, May 15 th, 2018. She was born in Winside Nebraska on June 29 th , 1917 and moved to California in 1942. She had since been a West Sacramento native who had also been a member of the Community Lutheran Church. Helen loved crocheting, camping and belonged to several different campers’ clubs and was a long time member of the local Moose Lodge. She retired after 22 years working as a can inspector for Campbell’s soup. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lowell; parents Charles and Helen Lange; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by three children, sons, Loran (April), Steven (Sharon), daughter, Claudette Osborn; and sister Betty Flowers. She was also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. All are welcomed for visitation Thursday May 24 th from 4-8pm and funeral service Friday, May 25 th at 10am. Both will be held at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, Sacramento, CA.
