Obituary of D. Dean McCoy

Born on Jan. 17, 1925 in Naper, Nebraska; passed away peacefully on Aug. 18, 2010, at his home in Sacramento. He was 85. His companion, friend and wife Lois, who passed away in 1989, preceded Dean in death. His surviving sons Dennis, Jeffrey, Bryan and Sean will dearly miss him. He was co-owner of McCoy & Reichel Auto Body Repair Shop in Oak Park for many years and retired as a claims adjuster for United Pacific Reliance Insurance Company. Dean was a patient, fair and considerate man. He loved gardening, was an avid fisherman, and a skilled craftsman who was in the process of restoring a 1931 Model A Pickup truck. Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 26th at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd. in Sacramento. Viewing is noon to 1 p.m. followed by services from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sutter VNA Hospice Foundation, 7300 Folsom Blvd., Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95826.
