To the Ayala/Szpunar Family, I hope that you will see this message as it comes so long following Matt's passing. Matt and Maydelle were my godparents. I spent many an hour with them and Gayle as well. They were surrogate parents to whom I could always turn to for advice, understanding and a shoulder to lean on as I became older. I will always remember the many Saturday evenings spent around the card table having dessert and playing pinochle! They were there when I was born, when I had my graduations, Matt was my wedding escort 40 years ago, and celebrated the birth of each of our 3 girls ( who called them aunt May and uncle Matt) with us.
