William Dale Chaney of Orangevale passed away, Sunday August 28, 2017 at his home. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10 AM on Thursday September 7th at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento Ca 95824. William was born October 22, 1937 to James and Hazel Chaney. William is survived by his wife Bonnie of 42 years, his sons Daniel, Dean, Elvin, Wade, Norman, daughters Bonnie, Phoebe, Kelly, Ondrea, and sister Marie Ambrose. Preceded in Death by his parents, James and Hazel, his two brothers Don and Cecil, his sons David and Douglas. William was a Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and a Friend, he worked as Farmer, Mechanic, served in the Airforce as Military Police, he was a Design Draftsman that help put man on the moon. His name along with those of his team float in space today in the capsule they sent, he contributed to the Space Shuttle Program, worked on several Nuclear Power Plants, helped turn beets into sugar at Spreckles Sugar, helped keep our chocolate fixes alive through his work at Ghirardelli Chocolate in San Francisco. Williams children grandchildren and great grandchildren David Chaney, Andrew Chaney, Katherine Chaney Daniel Chaney, Timothy and Megan Chaney, Logan and Debby Nelson Rainee Nelson, Ryan and Danielle Newman, Matt and Peggy Jean Ures, Owen Ures, Delaney Ures, Baby Ures Douglas Chaney, Ciera Overholt Dean and Renee Chaney Bonnie Hearn, Chad Dane, Ashley Dane Emily Dane, John Hampton Samantha Hampton Richard and Phoebe Cormany, Guy and Joelene Olmsted, Sequoya Brown and Anthony Stewart, Hunter Olmsted, Guage Olmsted, Taylor Olmsted, Ariannah Olmsted, Jeremy and Rebecca Kinman, Jeremy Kinman Jr, Guillermo and Rebecca Acosta, Anthony and Erika Kinman, Nathan Kinman, Mia Kinman, Raquel Acosta, Isaiah Acosta Natalia Acosta, Gabriel Acosta, Lily Cormany, Jasmine Cormany.
