Obituary of Betty Chiyoko Deguchi

On October 1, 2019, Betty passed away peacefully at home. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday on July 11, 2019. She married Frank Shigeto Deguchi on January 23, 1949. They lived in Sacramento all of their lives, except for their World War II internment years. She was a great mother and grandmother. She was a hard worker and cared for many people. Betty and Frank raised 3 children-Cheryl, Keith, and Cynthia. Frank passed in 2004. Keith passed in 2013. Betty became the strength of the family through the years. She filled her life with loving devotion for her children and grandchildren, Shelly, Paul, and Eric, as well as her great-grandchildren, Jordan and Quinton. Betty loved gardening and taking care of colorful, beautiful flowers. She took great pride in her garden. Betty was active in Mayhew Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She had an inspiring fighting spirit about her. Her love, warmth, compassion, and sympathetic ear will surely be missed.
