Devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed from this life on October 5, 2016, at the age of 89. Maria "Mary" was born in San Juan Ilocos Sur in the Philippines on April 23, 1927, and was a resident of Sacramento for many years, and Newark, California in her later years. She was predeceased by her husband Felipe V. Poma. She is survived by her children Arlene, Edgar and Phillip, and their respective spouses Jack French, Rodney Wong, and Michele Javier, and a grandchild, Gabrielle. Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 6:30 p.m., at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento, CA. Funeral services will be held in Sacramento on Friday, October 21, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7584 Center Parkway, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue.
