Obituary of Robert Malcolm Adams
Robert (bob, Papa) was born in Iowa and moved to Sacramento in 1946. He enlisted in the Army and served as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division from 1954-1958.
His profession was in the Printing Industry most of his adult life Robert was active in the community with the Sacramento Jaycees (Past President), the Methodist Church, Boy Scouts and sang with the Country Club Aires. He was an avid record collector and had a business "At the Hop" where he played music for events. His children have fun memories of accompanying him to these parties where he spun records and played the party DJ. Bob was a passionate fan of the Oakland Raiders, Elvis Presley, Tiny Tacos and Goldfish Crackers.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth, daughter Laura Nickerson (Steven), Son David Adams (Susan) and 7 grandchildren: Amanda, John, Kelsey, Catherine, Zachary, Robert and Michael. He has a large loving family and will be missed. His favorite greeting to others was "Just another day in paradise'.
