Obituary of Hal O Smith

Hal graduated from Sacramento High School in 1943. He served in both the Navy and the Army. He worked for the State of CA, Department of Water Resource for 36 years as a Civil Engineer. He had a great sense of humor and wit. Strong and determined, he fought to not allow his Parkinson's to get the best of him. He loved his family, cats, golf, fishing, bowling and watching his grandchildren play their sports. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Francis Smith in 1975. Hal is survived by his 6 children and their spouses; Susan and Kevin McCormac; Lisanne Kelly; Nancy and Randy Putnam; Margaret Bradford; Carol and Jeff Swafford; Hal and Barbara Smith. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Graveside service will be held July 11, 2012 at 11:00a.m. at the Sacramento Memorial Lawn.
