My Grandpa

James Wheelwright, was the spunkiest 96 year old you would ever have had the chance to meet. As any good grandpa does, he tended to spoil me and my brother. When we (my brother and I) were about 13 and 12, my grandpa took us to the circus because we had never been to one and he told us that when he was a kid he loved the circus. I'm guessing he hadn't been to a circus in a long time because he bought a huge bag of peanuts to feed the elephants, which they don't allow you to do anymore. He was a little more then upset and started to explain loudly why we should be able to feed the elephants. Eventaully he gave it up and we moved on. Back then it seemed so embarrasing with everyone giving us wierd looks, but now I'd give anthing to have him yelling at waitresses and other people if I could see him again. I used to call you every year on Veterains Day to say this, but I guess this will have to do... Thank you for your service, and have a Happy Veterains Day. I love and miss you Gandpa.

Love your little Blueberry Eyes,

Cassidy Wheelwright

(The girl is me and the boy is my brother in photo, but this was when we were at the zoo with him. I was like 6 or 7)
